Project Description

The Military Department of Arkansas developed a need for a new training facility for unmanned surveillance drones at the Fort Chaffee Maneuver Training Center. The project included the design and construction of a 1,000 foot asphalt paved runway and 3,300 square foot hanger building. Hawkins-Weir provided the site/civil design services and construction inspection services as a subconsultant to E Squared Architecture. Services provided by Hawkins-Weir include topographic survey, grading and drainage design, runway layout, and pavement section design.
